Ever since I visited Kenya when I was 12, I have had a strange love for Africa. When I became interested in embroidery this shirt sort of just came out of me. My family now serves at a mission hospital in West Africa, and my heart for the continent has continued to grow.

This photo was taken at Ellie's Run for Africa, an annual event in Nashville, TN that raises money to partner with organizations working to fight extreme poverty in Africa.
